Cafe Rouge Liverpool One

BDP’s Liverpool One master plan was shortlisted for this years Sterling Prize. From the AJ:

The masterplan for Liverpool’s new shopping centre knits into the city’s street pattern and connects with the waterfront. Allies and Morrison, CZWG, Dixon Jones, Wilkinson Eyre and FAT were among 26 practices appointed to deliver BDP’s plan.

Judges’ comments ‘This is a vibrant and economically successful retail, leisure and mixed-use quarter. The masterplan co-ordinates and manages the development of 42 acres of rundown land. Achieving implementation within nine years is a triumph of skill and commitment.’
